This has brought together the duties of monitoring and analysing events on the market, as well as exercising supervision of the electricity, natural gas and district heating markets. The Swedish Consumer Energy Markets Bureau is an independent bureau which provides advice and guidance to consumers. All information and guidance is free of charge. The Bureau’s activities started in 2002.

The Swedish Energy Markets Inspectorate (Ei) is the regulatory authority for the markets for electricity, natural gas and district heating, and constantly monitors the development of these markets.
